Whitney Commercial Real Estate Services was founded in 2001 by President and CEO Richard D. Whitney, following decades of successful real estate work in both Asheville and Tampa Bay. Since then, the firm has grown to participate annually in more than 25 percent of regional commercial real estate transactions, according to Karnes Research.

Member (CCIM) Institute, and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors
(SIOR). Our Property Management division has earned the designation of
Accredited Management Organization (AMO) by the Institute of Real Estate
Management (IREM). Our sister company, Whitney Construction & Development,
Inc., holds an “Unlimited” license from the North Carolina Licensing Board of
General Contractors. Our brokers, division leaders, and staff are lifelong
learners with additional designations, from MBA to certifications in analytics.
